Remember these adorable triplet sisters that I have the pleasure of seeing each May? We visited the Grange Estate in Havertown to spend some time together. They just celebrated their 2nd birthday. I could not be more pleased to see my little clients grow each year.

Group hug!!! LOVE!

Each little lady has such a unique personality and they each shine in their own way.

I call this photo “Maggie’s View,” she assisted me in some photos of her Mommy and Daddy.  =)

I hope Mommy does not mind me saying so but she is the wonderful librarian at Garrettford Elementary school. The school my boys currently attend. My boys adore her and the library program. Both of them come home from their library day, unzip their school bags and pull out their books – so excited to show me. For Lucas it is usually science books and Jeremy prefers Star Wars books. In addition to getting to check out their favorite books,  Mrs. T.M. (as the kids call her) has authors come to the school. Yesterday the kids met and listened to Jarrett Krosoczka author of the Lunchlady series. The library program is one of their favorite school specials of the week.

Anyone who helps children love to read  is a SUPERHERO in my book!

You might have heard Upper Darby School District in the news recently. The library special as well as music, art and physical ed. specials at the elementary level are in very grave danger of being cut from the school day. Yes, you read that right. It is hard for me to express in words how I feel about this. I consider myself an artist. I consider my children artists. They love their library books, they love to paint and they love to sing. They have amazing teachers who specialize in these subjects. Art in all forms enriches the mind.

I am heartbroken for my children and all the children at the possible loss of these specials. Check out the links below. Send an email, make a call and sign the petitions. Even if your child is not in the Upper Darby School District we need your help! Please.

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy this beautiful weather this weekend. Happy Mother’s Day!

and the moments fly by so fast.

Is this what your photo albums look like?

I admit. I am guilty too. I take many photos of my children from my phone. Why not? I always have my phone with me. It takes a decent photo. I can immediately upload it to Facebook and text it to my family.

Three year old Jenny looks so adorable when she tries on your high heels and tries to clunk about the house in them. You get the cutest photo of her on your iPhone, upload it to Facebook and everyone comments on how adorable Jenny looks. You have preserved this moment forever.

Or have you?

Are all your phone photos backed up? Where will these photos on Facebook be in 10.. 15.. 20.. years? Who knows? Yes the “digital age” has made it so easy. Again, I am guilty too.

Recently we were reorganizing our house. I had out all our family photo albums. Lucas (my 8 year old) spent hours looking at my baby album (thank you Mom for a wonderful first year album), our wedding album, photo albums throughout the years of college and travel pre-children and even his own photo albums. Jeremy (my six year old) asks “where’s my baby album?” Um well here it is. A beautiful baby album with three pages of photos. I went digital shortly after his birth, so while my Lucas has three photo albums, Jeremy has 1 unfinished album.

I print. I print photos a lot. I have boxes and boxes of printed photos. My children do not enjoy digging through photos in shoeboxes. They enjoy looks at photos in an album. It is a book, a storybook so to say and turning the pages of these memories makes me happy to watch.

Not only now but years from now when they have their own children. Again, thank you Mom for making me a beautiful baby album that my kids love to look at. “Look at Mommy in the bathtub.” “Mommy you really loved Snoopy.” Yes I did, I was a huge fan of Snoopy. Do I remember my Snoopy stage? Not really. It is evident from the photos I really loved Snoopy. Even though it is hard to think of when the people who remember this time are gone I will still have the photos in my beautiful album to remind me of that special time.

I have clients who schedule sessions year after year with me to acquire albums of their children. They love my albums and admit they are the only photo albums they have of their children. I love that they appreciate the value of this memory keepsake. However in a photography session like this we are normally trying to capture the children and family in portraits as well as those candid moments for an album.

I was approached recently by one of these clients who wanted me to spend a day with the family. Just documenting daily life and the moments that you forget but are special. I love this idea. I love photographing these moments and usually my favorite images from a session are the moments that don’t necessarily end up hanging on the wall.

So I am now offering “Documenting a Day in the Life” photography sessions. Then Jenny and her heels will be captured by a professional photographer and preserved forever in a beautiful album. Or how about when baby wakes up from nap, all sweet and pink cheeked? When you bath you little guys and a splash party ensues? Charla practicing her violin? Daddy and son playing baseball outside? Making cookies with your little sous chefs? Pancake breakfast? Story time before nap? The laugh you get when you sing that silly song as you get her dressed? The look your children get when Daddy gets home from work? Tea time with her favorite Dolly?

I am sure you have caught some of these moments with your camera. How about hiring a professional photographer into your home for a day capturing them silently then printing them on beautiful archival paper to preserve forever in a album? When you contact me we will begin with a discussion about your children and what you are looking to capture at this time. What are your favorite moments throughout the day?  In addition to those moments you don’t realize that a third party can see. I will ask you questions about your children and your family. We will schedule the session around what you looking to create with this album. In addition to the album, this “Documenting a Day in the Life” photography experience includes a DVD musical slideshow of all the images and a 16×20 gallery-wrapped canvas of your favorite image. The DVD slideshow will be a great addition to your home collection, imagine showing the DVD at their next birthday party, at their high school graduation party or even their wedding.

These sessions are not just limited to young children, older children as well or even newborn babies. It is not just about the children, I would hope Mom and Dad would like to participate in the days activities.

So please contact me for more information. I would be happy to speak with you.

If an investment into a custom photography experience is not something your family can do right now then I would hope you would consider printing more photos to make your own albums. I am currently working on an album from 2006. =)  It is the best present you can give your children and you they will thank you some day.

Thank you Mom for my 1976 Bicentennial Baby album. The pages are slightly yellowed and the binding has seen better days but it is one of my most prized possessions.

Even though it was super cold and snowy this past weekend,  I had the pleasure of seeing a lovely young lady I photographed awhile ago when she was the same age as her little brother. She is a delightful big sister and enjoyed being silly with me. I was so happy to meet the newest member of your family. Thank you for having me out and enjoy the sneak peek of your images!

be merry….

December 21, 2011

Michelle Lindenmuth Photography is now closed for the holidays. I am looking forward to enjoying time off with my wonderful family, more this year than any years past.  We will reopen and begin scheduling for the new year on January 3, 2012. Any emails received in that time will be returned at that time.

To all my clients I am wishing to you the merriest of  holidays, from my family to yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

More boys! I was so happy to meet the newest member of this family. I haven’t seen them since a few weeks before baby T. was born. Remember this carnival session from May? Well they now have another sweet boy. Three boys — love!  It was so nice seeing you all again and meeting T. You have such a happy home and family I enjoy seeing you year after year.

Aren’t the boys styled perfectly for their photo session? (Of course they are when their Mom is the owner of the fabulous SKIRT in Bryn Mawr. =)  Thanks again D. Family!

Best,

Michelle

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I enjoyed seeing all my family and relaxing with my boys. My beautiful nephews came up to visit from Maryland for a few days and I had to photograph them, not just because they are so adorable but because my sister made me. =) Haha! Of course I want to photograph them. I can’t believe Jasper is going to be 7 months and Jackson will be 3 in a few short months. Jasper is such a happy baby and Jackson, well is your typical 2 year old boy. It didn’t matter that I am his MOST favorite Aunt who spoils him constantly, he did not want to stop for a moment and let me capture his amazing smile. Luckily I’m not a amateur and had a few tricks up my sleeve. I am saving the best images for their Christmas card but here are a few other of my favorites from the day. xoxo

this rope was a facinating toy for Jax…

The Mini-peeks!

October 25, 2011

Another blog post featuring a few photos from the Fall mini sessions…. I was excited to see Miss. A. and Mr. M. again! I last photographed Mr. M. right before my maternity leave last year when he was a wee newborn. How they grow the first year, even big sister Miss A. is growing into a little lady!  It was lovely seeing you all again.

More boys…

October 13, 2011

I spent the weekend with two of my favorite little boys… my nephews! All boys in our family, that is how we roll. =) Of course I had to bring my camera and when looking at the photos today I realized I never blogged my newest nephew, Jasper. (gasp!) He was born in May (in a car, long story.) I can not believe my sister never mentioned to me that I never blogged Jasper since his older brother Jackson has frequented my blog over the last two years. Can anyone say “Hello, neglectful Aunt Chellie?” So here are a few of my favorites of him over the last couple of months. Jasper is a happy baby and probably has one of the most expressive faces I have seen in a young one. As a newborn, he gave the best “stink eye” probably a trait inherited from his father, luckily he is all about super smiles and silly grins now.

Jasper 1 week young…

around 6 weeks

with his sweet big brother….

and from the other day… love all the smiles

Thanks for stopping by!

November dates are filling up! So happy to hear from many of my past clients. Please contact me as soon as possible to book a session prior to the Holidays.

Best,

Michelle

I imagine, most photographers claim they photograph the cutest children, probably just like parents claim they have the cutest children. Well I know for a fact I photograph the cutest babies! Or at very least the cutest babies with the best hair. I am in awe of little Mr. A.’s beautiful highlighted locks. Just a month old and already looking fresh from the salon. =) Maybe I am a wee bit jealous since my 10 month old is still sporting the bald but beautiful look but how can you not love this little guy and his awesome hair. A very sweet guy indeed, who I had the pleasure of meeting this weekend along with his lovely Mom and Dad. Thank you so much for letting me share this time with you and enjoy your sneak peek of your images.
