A year of change…

December 12, 2011

We celebrated Greyson’s first birthday a week ago. I can not believe how much he has grown this past year. We celebrated how much joy Grey brought into our family. He has truly brought more love and happiness in this past year than I could have ever imagined. Not only our love and happiness with Grey but how I cherish seeing Lucas and Jeremy with their baby brother, it’s an amazing bond to watch blossom. I discovered a love for my children and husband so strong I did not know was possible.  As all the parents who read my blog know, introducing another baby (or a baby) into the family is not done with perfection and ease. There are certainly exhausting, trying days and my family had our share of them this past year. However the sheer joy of my three children outweighs those tough days a million to one.

“Happiness is finding the right path…joy is finding someone to share it with.” Wes Fessler

I have found someone to share that joy with, my family. There is no greater reward for me than sharing my life with my sons and my husband. Each day is a journey of learning. We teach each other about life, hope, generosity, goodness and respect (the kids teach me knock knock jokes too.) It might be a reflection of this past year, Grey’s arrival or possibly the Christmas spirit that has entered my heart which inspired me to write today. It has taken me a long time to embrace the happiness in life, as just a feeling and not a thing. I have faith that my life is unfolding in miraculous ways through the love of my family. I embrace my life, which is full of joy, love and abundance of wonderful men in my life!

And now some photographs… the birthday boy!

with help from his big brothers and cousin he blew out his 1 candle at his birthday dinner….

yummy!

such amazing curiosity…

he was done with photos and tried to escape his nursery…

my early christmas present, i printed these photos on beautiful metallic paper on a 10×20 print. LOVE!

Michelle

Carol C.: Beautiful sentiment and fabulous photo's. Love the one of all 3 boys.

Kristin: Wonderful thoughts and photos, Michelle. It is amazing how much can change in a year. You sound so happy, best wishes to you all.

Sandy: love you and all your boys, so happy for you and all the amazing changes this past year.

Chrissy: Love these pics, especially the last pics of all the boys in their PJs. Great shots--so fun!

More boys! I was so happy to meet the newest member of this family. I haven’t seen them since a few weeks before baby T. was born. Remember this carnival session from May? Well they now have another sweet boy. Three boys — love!  It was so nice seeing you all again and meeting T. You have such a happy home and family I enjoy seeing you year after year.

Aren’t the boys styled perfectly for their photo session? (Of course they are when their Mom is the owner of the fabulous SKIRT in Bryn Mawr. =)  Thanks again D. Family!

Best,

Michelle

Carol C.: Really nice photo's. Love the B&W of the family and the shot with the tree.

Laura: Beautiful images! The family must love them all.

Chrissy: Great family shots!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I enjoyed seeing all my family and relaxing with my boys. My beautiful nephews came up to visit from Maryland for a few days and I had to photograph them, not just because they are so adorable but because my sister made me. =) Haha! Of course I want to photograph them. I can’t believe Jasper is going to be 7 months and Jackson will be 3 in a few short months. Jasper is such a happy baby and Jackson, well is your typical 2 year old boy. It didn’t matter that I am his MOST favorite Aunt who spoils him constantly, he did not want to stop for a moment and let me capture his amazing smile. Luckily I’m not a amateur and had a few tricks up my sleeve. I am saving the best images for their Christmas card but here are a few other of my favorites from the day. xoxo

this rope was a facinating toy for Jax…

I love the dynamic of three little boys. Seeing little brothers interact is so near and dear to me. When I last photographed the S. Family, K. brother #2 was only weeks old and he is now a big brother. They have grown into sweet little boys! Such a beautiful, loving family, thank you for having me out again. Enjoy the sneak peek of your images.

carol: Beautiful photo's of these handsome little guys. The first photo is my favorite.

alexandra: oh these are so wonderful michelle!!! you have captured them so beautifully !!!!

Chrissy: Great photos--love the colors in the last photos...perfection!!

TaraMc: Love these! So fun and genuine. Great work!

Laura: What a precious shot of the three boys at the beginning of this blog entry. Great job!

Where is the best place to do a fun, Phillies themed family photo session? Citizens Bank Park! Since the season is over and there were no other games this day we had the place basically to ourselves. It was my first time photographing a family down at the Park and it made for some great baseball background photos. It would have been nicer if they could have snuck in… maybe next year? I think next years Holiday card from this favorite family of mine should include a photo of Dad streaking the field. =)

My gorgeous girls Miss. J. and R. have returned to my blog after a busy year for them both. I have missed photographing these lovely girls. Enjoy your sneak peek C. Family! xoxo

these smiles mean a lot to me… there were some years where Miss. R. would make me work for it… I can’t believe how much she has grown…

marianne: You once again captured our family perfectly. Thanks so much for being a pleasure to work with.

Chrissy: Wow--I can't believe how much the girls have grown up. Great idea for the photos. Beautiful pics.

It was so nice to see the G. Family again this year! Mr. M. has certainly become a fast moving little boy! Curious about everything, just like little boys should be. Luckily, he would slow down occasionally from his exploring for me to capture his dazzling smile. Thank you and enjoy your sneak peek!

She has grown so much over the last 4 years and I look forward to this session every November.  You may recognize her from my website and blogs past. It is amazing how she is growing into a beautiful, little lady. It was wonderful seeing you all again. Enjoy your sneak peek!
